CALISTHENICS ASSOCIATION OF SA
(CASA)
About CASA
The Calisthenic Association of South Australia (CASA) is the official governing body for calisthenics across South Australia — a sport that blends dance, gymnastics, apparatus work, marching, singing, acting, and acrobatics into one uniquely Australian performing-art sport.
Calisthenics under CASA is more than just a physical activity: it fosters discipline, teamwork, confidence, coordination, flexibility and self-expression, giving participants the opportunity to shine both as part of a team and individually (through Solo, Duo or Graceful Girl sections).
Founded in 1928, calisthenics in South Australia has a long and proud history — CASA has nurtured the sport’s growth and evolution over many decades.
Through CASA’s programs and regular competitions, members from across the state — including youth, adults and now even “Masters” age groups — enjoy performing, competing, and building lifelong friendships.
What CASA Offers
A structured calisthenics program open to all ages 2 years and up, with accredited coaches at every level.
Opportunities for team competition, as well as solo/duo performances and “Graceful Girl” sections for individuals.
Participation in state-wide and national events: CASA coordinates State Championships, and selects state teams to represent South Australia at the national level.
A supportive, community-focused environment — CASA encourages sportsmanship, commitment, and the development of both physical and performance skills.
